My Year with Agatha: Hercule Poirot Continued

Happy Reading!

I have gotten woefully behind on these updates! Here is my last couple of week's reading in the Hercule Poirot series! Is anyone else reading along? If so, feel free to leave comments below! :)

Three Act Tragedy
When a guest dies at Sir Cartwright's dinner party, it is considered an unfortunate event. Once news of a second death in a similar fashion reaches Hercule Poirot, the investigation begins! This is another one of Christie's works that I'd not heard of prior to the reading challenge, but I really enjoyed!

Death in the Clouds
Hercule Poirot's holiday is interrupted by death again! When a fellow passenger on his airplane is murdered with a poisoned dart, Poirot must discover which of the plane's passengers would want to kill the lady in seat No. 2. Not my favorite, but still a good read!

The ABC Murders
Captain Hastings has returned from South America! Shortly after his return, Poirot begins to receive mysterious letters signed ABC. Hercule Poirot suspects murder is in the air. As always, he is proven correct, when a series of murders begins claiming victims in alphabetical order. Poirot and Hastings set out to the stop the murderer before he (or she) can claim even more victims! I really enjoyed this book. Also, there is a new mini-series based on this book that I cannot wait to watch! Read before you watch here:

Murder in the Mews
NOTE: I read this one out of order. According to Amazon.com, this is book 18. This was a collection of four short stories/ novellas. They are all found in The Complete Collection of Hercule Poirot. This collection contains Murder in the Mews, The Incredible Theft, Triangle at Rhodes and Dead Man's Mirror. It's hard to choose a favorite from this bunch! Get your copy here:

Death on the Nile
When wealthy heiress Linnet Ridgeway steals her best friend's fiancĂ©, trouble breaks out! The discarded friend follows the newlyweds on their honeymoon to Egypt. When Linnet is murdered, Jacqueline is the obvious suspect but her alibi is ironclad. Who else would want to end the wealthy young lady’s life? Poirot and Colonel Race set out to find out who among the other passengers could have committed the crime.

Appointment with Death
Hercule Poirot is seeing the sights in the Holy Land! While in Jerusalem, he overhears a fellow traveler make an ominous and threatening statement. Later, when an unpleasant American woman is found dead with syringe marks on her wrist, Poirot is called upon to discover the killer. How to discover the killer of a woman who everyone hated?
